Every time a customer reads their card over the phone, Aircall records it. CallTutor cuts the number out of the recording automatically, minutes after hangup, and deletes the original from Aircall.
About a minute. $9 per agent. No contract.
50,000+ calls redacted · No reported missed PCI data · Minutes after hangup · Agents don't have to do anything different.
The usual fix is the pause button. The agent pauses the recorder while the customer reads the card, then starts it again. It works when the agent remembers. In controlled studies, busy people predicted they would forget something they meant to do about 2% of the time. After a five-second delay, they forgot 25% of the time.
Aircall can hide the number in the written transcript of the call. That does not touch the recording, so the number is still in the audio, and anyone who can open the call can hear it.
Click Install in the Aircall Dashboard, approve one screen, and enter a payment card for billing. About a minute.
When a call ends, CallTutor finds the seconds where a card number, expiration date, or security code is spoken and cuts them out of the audio.
CallTutor keeps the clean recording in its own encrypted storage, and Aircall keeps nothing.
Your team opens the call in Aircall, clicks the link, and plays the clean recording with a transcript that shows [CREDIT_CARD_NUMBER] instead of the digits.
Agents don't have to do anything different.
Step by step: install instructions and what CallTutor does with your recordings.
The note lands on the call a minute or two after hangup. The link opens the clean recording and the transcript.
The first month is a flat $9 for your whole account, however many agents you have. From the second month on, we count the agents who took a call during the month and bill $9 for each of them. A team of ten agents where six took calls pays $54 that month. You do not pay for agents who took no calls.
No contract. Uninstall CallTutor from Aircall any time to stop.
Yes, for the calls CallTutor handles. CallTutor deletes the recording minutes after hangup, so Aircall has nothing left to transcribe, and Aircall's summaries for that call go with it. You get the CallTutor transcript instead, with the card number masked. Everything else in Aircall stays as it was.
Voicemails get the same treatment as calls. CallTutor cuts the card number out and deletes the original voicemail from Aircall.
Only users on your Aircall account. The first time someone opens a link, CallTutor asks for their email and sends a sign-in link, and only addresses that belong to your Aircall users get one. After that, links open directly for 30 days on that browser.
No. CallTutor stores the clean copy, deletes the original from Aircall, and never keeps the recording with the card number in it.
12 months. Download it any time in that window. If you want recordings kept indefinitely, the price is $11 per agent per month instead of $9.

Doug ran a company that took 5,000 calls a week by phone, wanted a tool that cleaned the recordings without anyone remembering anything, and built it. The same service has cleaned 50,000+ Zendesk Talk calls. Read the story.
